Derek Young Associate

Derek joined RB+B in 2000 and has 14 years of project experience in architectural design and administration. Derek facilitates the integrated design approach particularly well with school districts, contractors, building committees and owners.

Derek's recent sustainable projects include Boulder's Casey Middle School (targeting LEED-Gold), LEED-Silver Fossil Ridge High School and LEED-Platinum Seven Generations Office Building. He has also been Project Manager for St. John's Sanctuary Renovation and the Renovation/Addition to First Baptist Church, both in Fort Collins.

When not actively working on projects, Derek enjoys playing and watching hockey, billiards, skiing, backpacking and spending time with his wife and two children.
